Managing Directors

Alison Hurndall
Alison set up the company with fellow Managing Director Martin Ross in 1997. Alison has worked in the media as a journalist and PR consultant for more than 30 years. She was news editor of the leading regional evening newspaper, The Star and before that was the paper's women's editor.

Martin Ross
Martin also has more than 30 years experience in the media, fulfilling roles as news editor and assistant editor at The Star and then editorial development manager for United Provincial Newspapers.
Account Directors

Charlotte Taylor (currently on Maternity leave)
Charlotte runs HR Media's sister company OnTrack PR based in Doncaster. A council member of the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Charlotte sits on the advisory panel of Huddersfield University's PR degree course and is a previous winner of the Young Communicator of the Year award.

Abby Worsnip
Abby has more than a decade’s experience in news journalism and sports PR. Abby has a specific brief to work with the Managing Directors to build business in Sheffield, where she is responsible for managing a number of clients in the legal, sports, manufacturing and property sectors.

Eve Worthington (currently on Maternity leave)
Eve has a PR degree from Leeds Metropolitan University. She has responsibility for a number of clients in the health, regeneration and business fields as well as leading the training and development of account executives within the HR Media team.
Account Managers

Kim d'Arcy
Kim is a highly experienced former regional and national journalist. Kim also brings her experience as a press officer at the University of Southampton to her work with public and private sector clients.

Jill Theobald
Jill manages clients in both the health and business sectors. Jill draws on her experience as a regional journalist.

Steve Hutton
Steve, formerly a freelance sports reporter, works with a range of clients, particularly in the sports and business sectors. He is co-author of two books - Sheffield United's '150 Years of Bramall Lane' and Sheffield FC's ‘Celebrating 150 years of the world's first football club.'

Natalie Ross
Natalie, a former broadcast journalist, works with a range of clients in the health, regeneration, sport and leisure, public sector and business fields.

Billy Greenhalgh (Iain)
Billy has a Masters Degree in Web-Journalism from the University of Sheffield and his remit, alongside working with clients across engineering, property and health sectors, is to manage HR Media's E-media services.

Alex Mills
Alex is a graduate of the University of Sheffield journalism course where he was a short-listed candidate for Most Enterprising Student in South Yorkshire, as part of the STEP work placement programme. He works with a variety of sports and business clients.

Allie Dransfield
Allie, a graduate of the Media Studies and Print Journalism degree course at the University of Huddersfield, works on a number of clients in the health, sport and business fields. Her work on the Save the Millers Campaign was short listed for a Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide award in the best use of media relations category.

Jamie Vodden
Jamie is a graduate in PR from the University of Central Lancashire where he was part of the faculty's award-winning and groundbreaking consultancy, UK Progress. He works with a variety of sports and business clients.

Tim Ward
Tim is a graduate from the University of Sheffield Journalism Department and works with a variety of clients, including those in the health, regeneration and business sectors.

Martin Webb
Martin is an English graduate from the University of Sheffield, and has a NCTJ certificate in print journalism. He works with a variety of clients from the sports, business and public sectors.

Melody Patterson
Melody is a Design and Marketing graduate from the University of Derby and has a certificate in Communications from Sheffield Hallam University. She works with a variety of business, sport and leisure clients.
Kirstie Kinrade
Kirstie graduated from The University of Sheffield Journalism Course with a First and previously worked as a PR Assistant at Medilink Yorkshire & Humber. She works with a variety of clients across the healthcare and business sectors.
Hannah Johnson
Hannah is a Communication Studies graduate from Sheffield Hallam University. She works with a variety of clients from the sports, business and regeneration sectors.
Operations Team

Susan Waple
Operations Director
Susan has more than ten years administration experience in the regional media. She oversees the running of the smooth operation of the office and spearheads HR Media’s event management team.

Becky Collins
Operations and e-media Support
Becky, a Media Studies graduate from Sheffield Hallam University, is responsible for developing e-media services including website content management and e-newsletters. She also manages client photographic requirements.

Laura Butler
Operations Support
Laura Butler joins HR Media as part of the modern apprenticeship scheme after completing a BTEC in IT. Laura is responsible for the company's cutting services as well as providing operational support in the office.Consultant

Peter Goodman
Peter, a former Assistant Editor at The Star and a journalist for 50 years – Peter has national, regional and local experience.
His specialities include speech and column writing, preparation and proof reading of publications and brochures and the compilation of editorial material for the media. He has also written four books on Sheffield social history.
