Allie’s Race for Life!

For the past two years I have taken part in Cancer Research UK's Race for Life and this year I am going for my hat-trick appearance!

For those of you who don't know much about the Race for Life it's a 5k walk, jog or run and is the UK's largest women-only fundraising event.  

I have already registered to compete in this year's Race for Life in Rotherham on Sunday, July 6 so the training starts here - well that's the plan anyway! 

Last year my colleagues and I raised more than £1,000 for cancer research UK, which we were all immensely proud of. The challenge this year is to beat our previous total so as well as starting to train I am badgering family and friends for sponsorship. 

Race day is such an emotional experience with people running in memory of lost loved ones or because their lives have been affected by cancer and it really inspires you to cross the finishing line.
