Sheffield Chamber of Commerce is supporting an online trading service which enables companies to access details of business opportunities on a national basis.
The Intertrading Platform Service (IPS), part of Business Network Online, aims to simplify the way that companies can access potential business, as well as public and private sector tenders. The online service works by matching up business opportunities registered on the IPS database, by companies who have identified that they can supply a particular product or service.
Director of business development at Sheffield Camber, Paul Reeves, said: "A service like this is a fantastic way for companies to reach new markets, as well as being reached themselves, as it enables them to be accessed on a national basis - something which we are very keen encourage.
"Through this service companies can meet potential new business partners and suppliers and generate more business by increasing their profile in a trusted network of Chamber members."
Companies who register with the Intertrading Platform Service can select up to ten business categories to match trade opportunities or tenders that they would like to receive or are able to fulfil. This gives the company the freedom to choose their target market.
Business Network Online and the Intertrading Platform Service are available free of charge to all members of a BCC Accredited Chamber of Commerce.
