Blundells puts home under hammer in BBC TV series

An employee from North Derbyshire’s leading estate agency is putting his property skills to the test, as he is set to deliver his valuation on a property set for renovation as part of a popular daytime television programme.

Mark Ross, residential sales and lettings valuer at Blundells Chesterfield office, is to appear in the BBC's popular show, ‘Homes Under the Hammer', which uncovers the tricks of the property auction trade.

The episode, which will air next year, will see Mark, from Millhouses, Sheffield, give his expert opinion on a two-bedroom terrace in Shuttlewood, Chesterfield and value the residence before its refurbishment. 

Homes Under the Hammer features properties which have been bought at auction and often require major restoration. When the home is complete, a local estate agent is invited back to give their opinion on the property and value it appropriately.

Mark said: "We are very proud to be the leading estate agency in the Chesterfield area and it is brilliant that we have been approached for such a popular television programme within our industry sector.

"Property is a big passion of mine, so being given the chance to appear on Homes Under the Hammer is a huge privilege and very exciting!"

Blundells are set to put 22 properties under the hammer when they hold their second auction in Sheffield later this month.

It is to be Blundells second sale under the Auction House colours and has 22 confirmed lots across the region, including land, commercial units, residential properties, renovation properties and properties for investment potential.

The auction will take place at Sheffield Park Hotel, Chesterfield Road, on Tuesday 30 September at 2pm.
