President's message - Sheffield Business Awards

I would like to personally congratulate all the winners at this year’s Sheffield Business Awards on their excellent achievements during the last 12 months and also praise the companies that were shortlisted.
The awards, which have this year celebrated their milestone tenth anniversary, have once again highlighted the high calibre of businesses and individuals across the Sheffield City Region.
The winner of the Young Business Person of the Year, Neill Birchenall, and Business Person of the Year, Roger Pearson, showcase the entrepreneurial spirit of Sheffield. Our city’s skills and achievements are emphasised in the diversity of the sectors recognised at the awards, including manufacturing, engineering, charitable and community.
It is vital that we continue to encourage our local businesses across all sectors in this way to ensure we position ourselves at the forefront of economic growth.
The success stories from the Sheffield Business Awards will, I’m sure, inspire other companies throughout our region to ‘believe to achieve’. By building on this theme, I hope that the city’s confidence will continue to grow and that this time next year we will be once again celebrating the accomplishments of both new and existing local businesses.
