HR Media turns day into night for charity

November 2011 by HR Media

Children In NeedWell it’s came to that time of year again where we are asked to show our spots and raise money for a worthwhile cause.

The BBC’s Children In Need appeal gets people up and down the UK fundraising every November and here at HR Media we are no different.

Friday is usually dress down day but this week we decided to turn up to work as if we were going to bed. The pyjama party, as we liked to call it, was great fun.

Working in your pyjamas, dressing gowns and slippers was great and we have never been so comfy. Not only did we manage to raise £40 for the charity, but we also had many laughs seeing what people turned up in.

It included lots of spotty and stripy pyjamas and all the women were walking around in their cosy slippers instead of their high heels. Others were wrapped up in their dressing gowns or hoodies over the top of their night wear.

Children In Need is such a good and worthwhile cause that it was fantastic to be able to raise some money for the appeal. It is the most successful charity campaign that we hold in the UK and it’s no surprise really.

The day is all about having fun as well as recognising there are people who need our help. It seems people are more willing to donate because of the fun everyone has on the day.

We will have to think of something different for next year’s appeal now - I only wish we could turn up everyday to work dressed in our comfy pj’s!!
